Operations Engineer is required for a specialist UK defence and critical infrastructure organisation, recognised for delivering highly secure and resilient communications and infrastructure solutions across government, defence, healthcare, enterprise, and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and support Linux and Windows infrastructure environments
* Perform routine patching, system maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
* Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve operational issues
* Troubleshoot incidents across networking, firewalls, virtualisation, and cloud platforms
* Support change management activities in line with ITIL processes
* Maintain accurate documentation, ticket updates, and operational records
Key Requirements
* Experience working within Infrastructure Support, Operations Engineering, or Systems Support environments
* Strong Linux and Windows administration/support experience
* Good understanding of networking, firewalls, and virtualisation technologies
* Exposure to cloud platforms and modern infrastructure environments
* Experience working within ITIL-aligned environments
