Responsibilities
1. Develop innovative and cost-effective mechanical engineering solutions
2. Lead mechanical design activities across Feasibility, Concept, FEED and Detailed Design stages
3. Produce engineering calculations, specifications and datasheets
4. Specify and assess major equipment including:
Turbines
Compressors
Pumps
Pressure vessels
Heat exchangers
5. Support development of PFDs and P&IDs alongside process engineers
6. Participate in plant layout development and 3D model reviews
7. Review vendor proposals and liaise with equipment suppliers
8. Provide technical support for operational plant integrity and troubleshooting
9. Support bid preparation and multidisciplinary engineering proposals
Requirements
10. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
11. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards CEng/IEng)
12. Significant post-graduate experience within Power Generation or Oil & Gas
13. Strong understanding of industry codes and standards for plant equipment and piping systems
14. Experience in pressure vessel and piping design, including stress analysis
15. Familiarity with plant 3D modelling environments
16. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office
17. Operational plant troubleshooting and integrity assessment experience
18. Knowledge of gas turbine systems
19. Reciprocating engine experience would be advantageous
