Role Overview
We are seeking a Segment BEX Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Trays segment. As the segment expert, this role will work closely with sites to implement Group Strategic Initiatives, mentor teams, and ensure progress and effectiveness in operational excellence efforts. The Segment BEX Manager will train and guide teams in the use of LEAN & Six Sigma methodologies to achieve yearly targets and promote best practice sharing.
This is a hybrid role, ideally based near one of our Trays sites in Germany, UK, Poland, Italy, or Spain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive implementation of strategic operational excellence initiatives within the segment.
2. Identify and support improvement opportunities with local teams to meet yearly objectives.
3. Define yearly improvement plans, identify training needs, and deliver training sessions.
4. Conduct pilots, Kaizen workshops, ensure data quality, mentor Six Sigma & Lean projects, and support complex data analysis.
5. Achieve yearly savings targets, approximately 2% of production costs.
6. Implement an operational excellence approach aligned with Group Standards, including training, project management, and audits.
7. Develop segment teams through ongoing training and sharing of best practices.
Skills and Experience
1. Strong hands-on knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
2. Experience in project selection and implementation to meet business goals.
3. Background in manufacturing production processes (preferably packaging) and project management across diverse teams.
4. Excellent problem-solving and mentoring skills.
5. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and MS Office.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and persuasiveness.
7. Analytical mindset, self-discipline, and multi-tasking ability.
8. Ability to train and develop others.
9. Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
10. Willingness to travel up to 50%.
