About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join our clients team and lead the optimisation of the end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is pivotal in driving supplier development, managing critical contracts, and ensuring seamless coordination across cross-functional teams. You will oversee a small team of supply chain professionals, mentor their development, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Manage sourcing, procurement, and vendor management to meet KPIs such as OTIF, quality, and cost efficiency.
Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of 3 supply chain specialists, conducting performance reviews and setting clear goals.
Project Management: Lead supply chain projects, including system implementations, process redesign, and cost-saving initiatives.
Supplier & Contract Management: Build strategic supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
Data Analysis: Use analytics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to policies and regulations while mitigating supply chain risks.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or project management role.
Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Proven project management skills, with familiarity in methodologies like PMP, Agile, or Six Sigma.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
CIPS or MCIPS certification is desirable.
