We’re supporting a not-for-profit organisation looking for a detail-focused and mobile Finance & Reconciliation Assistant to join their finance operations team on a 6-month contract. You’ll play a key role in reviewing localised spending and ensuring that financial records match central reporting — all while travelling between supported services across the South East.
What you’ll be doing:
Review and reconcile transactions against receipts, deposit logs, and internal records
Flag and escalate inconsistencies, missing documentation, or unusual patterns of spend
Travel to various sites to audit on-location records, with occasional overnight stays
Report findings back to the finance team and ensure clear audit trails
Support the wider finance function in maintaining transparency and control
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in finance administration, bookkeeping, accounts support, or similar
Is confident with spreadsheets, transaction matching, and paperwork checks
Has excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
Holds a full UK driving licence, has access to a personal car, and is insured for business use
Is comfortable travelling between office sites across the South East with some hotel stays
Is available to commit to a 6-month contract with potential for extension
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract with frequent field-based travel. Ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a meaningful finance support role.
