The Diocese of Leeds is seeking to appoint a Director of Communications to lead and shape our communications strategy at a pivotal time in our journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and delivery of a dynamic diocesan communications strategy
* Promote diocesan themes and initiatives across digital, print, and social media platforms
* Support senior leaders in engaging effectively with diverse audiences
* Oversee content creation and distribution, ensuring consistency and impact
* Provide expert PR support, including media relations and crisis communications
About You:
You will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the power of communication in shaping culture and community. You’ll bring experience in media, public relations, or communications leadership, and be confident working with senior stakeholders in a complex organisation.

The package includes a competitive salary, flexi-time scheme, an 8% non-contributory pension with an additional 5% matched contributions, hybrid working (50%), Cycle to work scheme, EV salary sacrifice scheme and 30 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and four customary days a year (between Christmas and New Year).
