To succeed in this role, you should have relevant experience in geo-environmental site investigations, assessments, and reporting. An appropriate degree in geology, geography, or environmental sciences is required. The role involves site visits and work, and a full clean driving license is essential.

Your new role
As a Consultant/Senior Consultant based in Edinburgh, you will join our Site Solutions team, part of a national group dedicated to Contaminated Land. Your responsibilities will include managing environmental and contaminated land assessments, supervising site investigations and environmental monitoring, conducting site inspections, and overseeing remediation activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic environmental consultancy team.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
* Phase 1 environmental site assessments
* Conducting site visits
* Soil/rock logging and environmental monitoring
* Supporting Phase 2 environmental site investigations
* Analyzing soil and groundwater data
* Preparing reports
* Collaborating across disciplines and with international teams
* Contributing to sustainability and climate commitments
For the senior role, additional responsibilities include:
* Supporting existing clients and developing new relationships
* Managing projects end-to-end
* Mentoring junior staff
* Supervising site activities requiring senior expertise
Your skills and experience

* A degree in geology, geography, hydrogeology, or environmental science
* Full clean driving license
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Strong numeracy skills
* Excellent communication skills in English
* Report writing skills
Senior candidates should also have experience mentoring colleagues, client management, and project leadership.
