Mountjoy School is seeking to appoint a Childcare Assistant. We are looking for someone who has experience of supporting the personal care needs of young people who present with additional needs, in order that they can access a full, rounded education.

Responsibilities
Mountjoy School caters for pupils who may have severe, complex, profound and multiple learning difficulties or autism. The role involves supporting the personal care needs of these pupils to enable access to a full, rounded education. All staff are supported in their professional development.
Working hours and terms
* Working times: Monday 8.55am to 4.45pm; Tuesday to Thursday 8.55am to 3.45pm; Friday 8.55am to 3.35pm. We are not able to offer different working hours from those advertised, but applications for part-time work (minimum 2 days per week) are welcome for the above hours.
* Term Time Only: 39 weeks per year, including 5 Inset days.
* Salary: Actual Salary £17,950 – £18,231 per annum (Grade 3, SCP 3-4). Salary paid in equal instalments all year round, including August.

* Right to work in the UK and ability to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with safer recruitment guidelines.
