Job Title: SEN Teacher
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, including one 5pm finish

Due to growth in our service, we are recruiting for a SEN Teacher to join our wonderful team at New Barn School, located in Newbury!

Job Summary and Duties
As a SEN Teacher at New Barn School, you will deliver engaging, educational-based learning tailored to each pupil to ensure positive outcomes. The role is challenging but rewarding, working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference. You will lead and coordinate flexible, person-centred programmes of study for individuals and groups of pupils, demonstrating a practical, hands-on approach to teaching and going above and beyond for the young people we support.
Duties include:
* Teaching a varied range of subjects
* Preparing, planning, and assessing teaching sessions while staying updated on curriculum developments
* Writing and implementing individual education plans, assessing educational attainment, and setting challenging yet achievable targets
* Building relationships with pupils to encourage their interest and participation in education
* Creating a stimulating and purposeful environment to promote teaching and learning outside formal classroom settings
Key Skills Required:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status
* Experience teaching a range of subjects at Primary Level with a record of good or outstanding teaching
* Knowledge of current education practices, processes, and curriculum
* Experience working within an SEN setting, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour (SEMH/EBD)
