The role:
* Skilled manual machinist using milling machines, lathes and grinders etc.
* Skilled CNC machinist with programming skills on-line & off-line
* Computer literate, using Excel, Word, Databases etc.
* Programming CNC machines online using Fanuc, Mazatrol & Heidenhain formats
* Programming CNC machines offline using CadCam software: Autodesk PowerMill, Vector CadCam & BobCad.
* Plan setups, machining method & selection of appropriate cutters, tools and optimisation of speeds and feeds for various materials
* Read, interpret and follow, diagrams, engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create Die components to tight tolerances (0.02mm)
* Make components / spare parts from drawings without instructions
* Carry out complex machining repairs on Die molds
* Manufacture EDM electrodes from drawings / 3D models
* Set up & operate EDM & Wire Erosion machines
* Using overhead 25 Ton cranes & lifting equipment

Essential Criteria:
* Time-served machinist
* Experienced in all aspects of Manual machining
* Experience in setting up / programming / prove out of cnc machines
* Experience using Cad Cam software to generate tool paths
* Able to read and understand engineering drawings
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Customer focus
* Results focus
* Able to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
* Able to see activities through to completion
* Available to work shifts
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience of spark and wire erosion would be advantageous
* Experience of Nitriding / Heat treatment process
* Experience of Faro / CMM measuring equipment
