Role Summary
The overall purpose of the Clinical Nurse Manager is to have continuous 24-hour responsibility for leading and coordinating the clinical, managerial, and educational requirements of a defined clinical area.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for setting, maintaining, and improving care standards, ensuring these are monitored around the clock.
As a leader, they will act as an expert resource and role model for the ward team to support effective care delivery. They will ensure a high standard of compassionate care tailored to individual patient needs and wishes.
The role includes ensuring the safe deployment of resources to meet professional nursing standards, governance, quality, and patient safety within budget.

Role Description
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for Tiverton Community Hospital Inpatient Ward. This senior role combines clinical expertise, leadership, and management, vital for the ward’s smooth operation and care standards 24/7.
The successful candidate will focus on rehabilitation needs, working with the multidisciplinary team to promote independence and functional recovery for discharged patients. They will collaborate with the Clinical Matron and Operational Manager to ensure team effectiveness and safe care delivery.
Working Pattern
37.5 hours per week, rostered shifts.
