The Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is comfortable with working in a dynamic and changing environment. The Resettlement Team, who sit within Public health at Derbyshire County Council, are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a Health Improvement Practitioner to become part of the team and support the improvement of population health and reducing inequalities for our local population. The role will be supporting the Resettlement Team, providing leadership on specific elements of Public Health Practice and working at a senior level to deliver improvements in health and wellbeing outcomes. Work areas for this role will change depending on the focus of the team, but current priorities for the role include: Working strategically with internal and external partners to identify and improve the public health needs of resettled refugees supported under specific government schemes. These currently include the Homes for Ukraine scheme, the UK Resettlement Scheme and the Afghan Resettlement Program. For the above schemes; undertaking research, identifying good practices, identifying barriers to accessing services, gaps in services and providing potential solutions. We are looking to recruit for a full time post, to work 37 hours per week (Mon to Fri).
