The Clavadel is a unique 32 bedded purpose built unit which delivers highly specialised care to post-operative patients. Patients come to us from all over the country once discharged from hospital to continue their recovery in a safe and comforting environment. Patients are here short term for a period of intensive rehabilitation which includes physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. The unit offers 24 hour nursing care, physiotherapy and general practitioner support to ensure patients are able to achieve optimal independence to return home confidently.
The patient experience is at the centre of our organisation and we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic registered nurse that will go the extra mile and provide seamless care for our patients. We believe that investing in staff leads to high quality clinical care. We have an experienced nursing team including high quality care staff with a shared vision. We work closely with the physiotherapy team and General Practitioners to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to managing patients safely whilst in our care.
As a registered nurse in our organisation we are committed to your professional development and will ensure a supernumerary induction to ensure you are supported during the transition to your new role. The role will involve wound management, drug administration, venepuncture and admission and discharge of patients. Leadership of a shift is essential and the ability to recognise a deteriorating patient that requires medical intervention. We have developed close working relationships with consultant surgeons to ensure patients receive the care they need.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to cover weekend shifts and the occasional night shift.
The shift hours are 8am - 8pm, 8am - 2pm or 1.30pm - 8pm.
