Overview
Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Team Leader in our Broadstreet Supported Living Service in Coventry.
The Supported Living Service supports 19 males and females with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning Disabilities in their own apartment. We provide support for daily living skills and help with socialisation, providing specialised person-centred support. Radis recognises each person as an individual and provides a unique service tailored to their specific needs with a consistent approach throughout their life.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services to oversee the smooth running of these services.
* Complete regular audits, checks, supervisions, and spot checks; update and review support plans; ensure individuals achieve their outcomes.
* Schedule and allocate work to Support Workers; assist with medication and personal care tasks; cover shifts within the services.
* Support may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, helping individuals stay in contact with family and friends, accessing the community, and attending appointments. Driving licence and use of a vehicle are essential.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism, and mental health issues is essential.
* Previous experience as a Team Leader is advantageous but not essential.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (working towards Level 3).
* Good written and verbal communication skills; willingness to learn in line with clients 0needs and expectations.
* Driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
