Year 6 Teaching Assistant - St Albans (Immediate Start)
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in St Albans.
This role will involve:
Morning support:Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with autism who attends on a part-time (half-day) basis.
Afternoon support:Working as a general Teaching Assistant across Year 6, supporting pupils in preparation for SATs.
Delivering targeted interventions in Maths, English and Science.The position is available until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience supporting pupils with autism (essential)
Have experience working within KS2, ideally Year 6
Be confident delivering small group and 1:1 interventions
Be proactive, patient and committed to supporting pupil progressThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a meaningful impact during a key stage in pupils' education.
Requirements:
Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
Hold a valid DBS, or be willing to apply for one.
Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
