About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive IT Manager with strong Azure expertise to lead our technology infrastructure and manage a growing data team. This is a fully remote role offering a fantastic opportunity to drive strategic IT initiatives, oversee Azure cloud services, and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of their tech environment.
You’ll play a key role in supporting data operations, modernising systems, and leading a high-performing IT & data function across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the company’s Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
* Manage and mentor a cross-functional team including IT support and data professionals (e.g., data analysts/engineers).
* Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring smooth delivery of support services and continuous improvement of systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to align IT and data strategies with organisational goals.
* Implement and maintain security best practices, compliance, and disaster recovery plans.
* Manage licensing, procurement, vendor relationships, and IT budget control.
* Support and scale the company’s data platforms, ensuring availability and performance of data pipelines, reporting tools, and storage solutions.
* Lead IT and data-related projects, such as system upgrades, integrations, and new tool implementations.
* Maintain thorough documentation and ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
* Proven experience in an IT Manager or Senior IT role with team leadership responsibilities.
* Strong, hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure including virtual machines, networking, and security.
* Experience working with or managing data teams or data infrastructure (e.g., data warehouses, pipelines, reporting tools).
* Exposure to data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Power BI, Snowflake).
* Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
* Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and general networking (DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
* Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
* Proven track record of managing remote teams and delivering scalable IT solutions in a cloud-first environment.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or ITIL.
* Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
* Previous work in a fully remote or distributed organisation.
* Prior experience and understanding of social media integrations and management.
