Working Supervisor – Property Maintenance (Reactive Works)

💰 £45,000 + Call Out + Overtime + Company Van
We are seeking a hands-on Working Supervisor to lead a team of operatives delivering responsive maintenance works across domestic properties. This is a mix of on-site supervision and practical trade involvement, ensuring jobs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

What’s on offer:
💰 £45,000 basic salary
🚐 Company vehicle provided
📞 £150 per week call-out rota payment
⏱ Overtime available:
* Mon–Fri: x1 rate
* Saturday: x1.5 rate
* Sunday: x2 rate
📅 Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
The Role:
* Supervise day-to-day delivery of reactive maintenance works
* Conduct site visits to ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards
* Act as the main operational contact for your area
* Support operatives with technical guidance and problem-solving
* Carry out quality assurance checks on completed works
* Monitor performance including productivity, attendance, and system usage
* Deliver toolbox talks and ensure Health & Safety compliance
* Manage CAFM/job system updates and reporting
* Support out-of-hours escalation on rota basis
* Work closely with schedulers to improve efficiency and first-time fix rates
About You:
* Proven experience supervising trade operatives (3+ years minimum)
* Background in a trade (plumbing, electrical, joinery, general building, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of responsive maintenance environments
* Confident understanding of Health & Safety compliance
* SSSTS (essential) or SMSTS
* NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualified
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
