Shift Pattern & Working Hours
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Some evening and weekend work may be required and you may be on call when needed.
Responsibilities
* Act in accordance with Abbeyfield policies and procedures at all times.
* Attend meetings, training and development as required, including occasional overnight stays.
* Understand and comply with Abbeyfield’s safeguarding arrangements as well as local multi‑agency safeguarding policy and procedures.
* Work closely with Abbeyfield volunteers and colleagues in both member societies and those working for The Abbeyfield Society locally, regionally and nationally, providing a seamless service.
* Contribute to and manage specific projects where appropriate.
* Undertake other duties reasonably required by Abbeyfield The Dales commensurate with the grading of the post.
* Maintain registration with the appropriate professional body and take responsibility for learning and continuing professional development.
* Ensuring personal and staff awareness of best practice guidance and documentation, implementing initiatives within the service.
* Responsible for health and safety and welfare of all staff within your service, monitor sickness absence and return management information data as required.
* Take a lead role in dealing with persistent sickness absence issues with guidance from recruitment or senior leadership.
Qualifications
* Hold a management qualification e.g. Registered Managers Award or NVQ 5 Leadership and Management.
* Professional social care or health care qualification NVQ 4 Care, DipSW, RGN.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with older people and demonstrable experience of delivering care services.
* Full clean driving licence and use of your own vehicle required.
* All candidates must hold a management qualification e.g. Registered Managers Award or NVQ 5 Leadership and Management. A professional social care or health care qualification NVQ 4 Care, DIpSW, RGN and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with older people and demonstrable experience of delivering care services.
