The Role
The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of supplier accounts, including hotels and spas across the assigned geographical area. You will develop strategies to grow these accounts through effective management and new partner sign-ups. The role involves working closely with the Lead Product Manager to identify opportunities and deliver end-to-end procurement and contracting solutions aligned with company KPIs.
Responsibilities
1. Meet and exceed revenue, margin, and availability targets for your portfolio.
2. Create a strategy to grow the assigned area and contribute to the Product departmental strategy.
3. Achieve objectives and KPIs related to profitability and sales via supplier procurement.
4. Collaborate with the Lead Product Manager to support new products and initiatives, establishing processes for successful execution.
5. Manage existing accounts, provide feedback, and identify growth opportunities.
6. Maximize revenue through commercial deals, overrides, or other income streams.
7. Support the XML integrations team to reach venue connectivity targets.
8. Source products efficiently, maximizing allocations and revenue while protecting margins.
9. Manage ancillary revenue streams in line with objectives.
10. Visit key partners and venues, including occasional travel for account management and onboarding support.
Requirements
1. Strong communication skills for proactive portfolio management and reporting issues.
2. Proven experience in performance-driven roles with a focus on KPIs and continuous improvement.
3. Excellent negotiation and commercial skills, with a track record of securing rates and revenue streams.
4. Experience with XML connections and contracting via channel managers, bed banks, or direct contracts is desirable.
5. Attention to detail, resilience, and ability to thrive under pressure.
6. Pragmatic, hands-on approach with an understanding of the sales process and product management.
7. Experience in the travel or spa industry is a plus.
