What You’ll Be Doing (Year 1)
* Attend training at the Academy for Skills and Knowledge in Samlesbury.
* Receive conventional and theoretical engineering training.
* Build foundational knowledge for placement integration.
What You’ll Be Doing (Years 2–4)
* Complete office‑based placements utilizing computer‑based tools; interact with customers, suppliers, and aircraft.
* Continue academic studies, including an HNC in Aeronautical Engineering (college, one day a week).
* Finish six placements within the Air business.
* Gain experience in design, systems, in‑service support, flight test, mission systems, integration, and aircraft lifecycle.
Qualifications Awarded
* Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Support Technician.
* Level 3 Diploma in Manufacturing Systems Technology.
* Opportunity to pursue accreditation with professional engineering institutions such as the Royal Aeronautical Society or Institute of Engineering and Technology.
