Overview
Job Title: Electronics Engineer
Location: Driffield
Salary: £50,000 per annum
About the Role
As part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electronics design - from initial concept and simulation through to schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in designing and developing electronic circuits for challenging environments, with a particular focus on low-noise and high-reliability applications.
Responsibilities
* Circuit Design & Simulation - Using Altium Designer to create schematics and PCB layouts, developing analogue circuits to deliver optimum performance and reliability.
* Analogue Circuit Development - Designing and troubleshooting analogue electronics, including sensor interfaces and signal conditioning circuits.
* Low Noise Amplifier Design - Creating low-noise amplifier solutions for sensitive underwater applications, optimising for minimal noise and maximum signal clarity.
* Coil & Transformer Design - Designing coils and transformers for efficient power transfer and robust signal coupling, with consideration for environmental factors.
* Power Amplifiers - Developing high-performance power amplifier circuits for driving transducers and other demanding loads.
* PCB Design - Producing detailed schematics and implementing PCB layouts with careful attention to signal integrity, EMC compliance, and manufacturability.
About You
We're looking for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to tackle complex design challenges. You'll need:
* Strong experience in analogue circuit design and troubleshooting.
* Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools.
* A good understanding of sensors, signal conditioning, and low-noise design principles.
* Knowledge of power amplifier design and PCB best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
* The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently when needed.
