To be successful as a New Product Development Manager, you should have experience with:
* In-depth knowledge of the UK payments market
* Solid commercial and technical understanding of payment scheme processes
* Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from multiple data sources to identify trends and potential issues
* Proven planning, organizational, and delivery capabilities
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your message for a range of audiences, from senior executives to front-line colleagues
Some other highly valued skills include:
* Experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile
* Broad understanding of relevant products, including charge cards, corporate credit cards, B2B payments, and digital wallets
* A product development mindset, ideally with exposure to Design Thinking principles

This is a hybrid role based at the Northampton, Sunderland, or Canary Wharf office.
Purpose of the role:
To manage a specific product or portfolio and set the strategic direction. Provide support to the bank's senior management team, and manage product development risk across the organization.

* Developing the strategic direction for a specific product or portfolio, including implementing up-to-date methodologies and processes.

* Managing relationships with stakeholders, including maintaining the quality of external third-party services.

* Monitoring financial performance, including revenue, profitability, and cost control.
* Conducting market research to understand trends, the competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.
