Are you an experienced and passionate teaching assistant with a strong commitment to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? Do you thrive in a nurturing, inclusive environment and understand the importance of trauma-informed practice in helping children flourish?
We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join our team at Broomwood Primary School, supporting a brand new, small specialist class provision opening in September 2025. This unique setting will cater for up to 10 pupils from Reception to Year 2, the majority of whom will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with a small number of assessed places for pupils who may be exploring the right long-term provision.
We are looking for an inspirational and committed TA2+ SEN Teaching Assistant who:
Has proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly those with speech, language, and communication needs.
Understands the impact of trauma on children’s development and behaviour and uses a relational and inclusive approach to support and nurture them.
Can build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Works well within a collaborative team, is flexible, and brings a positive attitude and sense of humour to their work.
Is confident in implementing individual support plans and differentiated learning strategies.
Shares and promotes our school values of Respect, Commitment, Togetherness, Nurturing, and Welcoming in everything they do.
We offer:
The opportunity to be part of an exciting new provision from the very beginning.
A supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
High-quality professional development tailored to your role.
A warm and welcoming staff team who are passionate about making a difference.
If you are ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children who need it most and want to be part of something new and exciting, we would love to hear from you.
