Intensive Housing Management Worker
Starting salary from £23, negotiable depending on experience.
Contract: Permanent, 36 hours/week including weekends.
Location: Office based - Matilda House, 2A Rymers Lane, Oxford, OX4 3ES
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Care and Support Team within a supported housing setting. You will work alongside another Intensive Housing Management Worker to manage building safety and safeguard residents by responding to inquiries and providing reactive support in crises in the absence of the main support team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure health & safety checks are conducted per policies, minimizing voids.
2. Follow safeguarding policies.
3. Perform reception duties: answer calls, coordinate transport, update appointments, sign visitors and keys in/out.
4. Process voids, report and follow up repairs.
5. Engage with external partners to benefit residents.
6. Complete reporting documents accurately.
7. Collaborate with support team and housing officer to address tenancy breaches, aiming to prevent evictions and promote tenancy sustainment.
8. Report safety concerns to the Senior IHMW.
9. Provide emotional support empathetically, within role boundaries.
About You
Experience in this sector is not essential; transferable skills are valued. We seek candidates with the right attitude, demonstrating our core values of caring, teamwork, and forward-thinking.
* Intermediate MS Office skills and willingness to learn new systems.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Ability to work independently and in a team, with problem-solving skills.
* Experience in homelessness, substance misuse, or mental health is preferred but not required.
