Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven team player to join the rapidly growing pharmacy team at the James Cook University Hospital. You will be working within the busy pharmacy dispensary team assisting in the provision of an effective and timely service to the patients and staff of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust under the leadership of the Senior Pharmacy Technician for Dispensary. The role involves supporting the running of the pharmacy dispensary including covering reception, using the pharmacy tracking system, packaging medication for deliveries, putting away stocks into the pharmacy robot and medication shelves, filing prescriptions and paperwork, expiry date checking, and other general housekeeping duties.
Responsibilities
* Support the running of the pharmacy dispensary, including reception duties.
* Use the pharmacy tracking system to manage medication and workflow.
* Package medication for deliveries and assist with stock handling, including putting away stocks into the pharmacy robot and on shelves.
* File prescriptions and related paperwork and perform expiry date checks.
* Carry out other general housekeeping duties as required.
Working Hours
Core working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00 with weekend working on a rota basis (1 in 5) and late night shift (9:00 – 17:30) on a rota basis (1 in 10).
