Overview
HC-One West Yorkshire, United Kingdom
We are seeking a Care Assistant who values kindness above all. Our care homes focus on Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care, recognizing that residents are people with their own stories. This vacancy is for full-time hours per week, with day shifts or night shifts available. As a Care Assistant, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to the residents you support.
As a Care Assistant, you will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, taking responsibility for the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents. You will assist with personal care activities such as washing, dressing and meals.
Your role involves delivering care with dignity and supporting residents to maintain their individuality, whether you are helping someone with limited mobility to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident, or delivering end-of-life care.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You will be required to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what actions to take. All colleagues should attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed.
About HC-One: kindness is a way of life. HC-One aims to support residents to live their best possible lives and brings five key qualities—kindness, curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage and dependability.
We are also enhancing our digital care planning to streamline care and improve outcomes. We support team members with technology and provide training as needed.
Please note: We can only consider applications from individuals who already have the right to work in the UK. We cannot offer sponsorship or accept time-limited visas.
