At Bupa, we are at the forefront of an exhilarating digital transformation journey, driven by our ambition to become the world’s most customer-centric healthcare provider. Our mission is simple yet profound: to help people live longer, happier, healthier lives, and to make a better world. As a leader in the healthcare industry, our aim is to leverage cutting-edge technology to innovate and enhance our services, ensuring exceptional experiences for our customers.
We believe that the key to success lies in our people. We are committed to creating an environment where our employees can thrive. At Bupa you'll find a culture that values diversity, inclusion and personal growth. We strive to make Bupa a place to work, grow and make a meaningful impact to the lives of millions and drive change towards a healthier world.
As Bupa modernises and becomes cloud-native we must manage complexity across a legacy estate and evolving new digital services, driving a change agenda forward but also supporting entrepreneurial business as usual. This is hard and we need technology leaders who understand the balance. We need architects who understand how to unlock the value of our data, give guidance on which technology to deploy to create, and how they all fit together to provide a seamless experience.
We need people who can take a federated business and bring it together in the key areas of customer experience and colleague productivity and satisfaction.
We want to establish frameworks and guiderails that just allow things to get done with minimal friction and faster time to value.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
1. Own and govern a central library of architecture patterns, standards, and controls.
2. Develop and maintain a patterns-led design approach, including metrics to track value.
3. Promote consistent documentation and approval of patterns across the business.
4. Equip architecture and design teams to effectively apply interoperability standards.
5. Establish and manage architecture frameworks tailored to business maturity and needs.
6. Maintain integrated architecture roadmaps to guide strategic change across BUs and functions.
7. Ensure architecture tooling supports frameworks and pattern implementation by setting standards and best practices.
8. Drive automation and modern governance models in architecture and design.
9. Collaborate with Data, Security, Risk, Privacy, and Legal teams to improve ways of working.
10. Support architects and tech leads in delivering pattern-led solutions.
Why you will Succeed
11. You are energized by large impactful initiatives that require alignment and coordination across many different technical organizations.
12. Once you've presented your vision, you know how to bring people along.
13. You care very deeply about creating teams that model psychological safety and inclusivity, where people can do their best work.
14. You understand that diplomacy and relationship building is as essential as a strong technical vision.
15. You value ''simple'' as a design goal and recognize that simple and easy are very much not the same.
16. Your deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns and interest in evolving best practices
17. Your communication skills (written and spoken) are something you pride yourself on. You understand, when communicating complicated ideas, less is more.
18. Your proven experience in architecture roles, ideally in healthcare and senior leadership positions gained in 5+ years of enterprise architecture.
19. You are skilled in end-to-end problem solving and translating complex architecture into clear, compelling CxO-level communications.
20. You are commercially astute, with experience building business cases, estimating costs, and planning initiatives.
21. You are an effective stakeholder manager with a consultative approach and the ability to influence and drive change.
22. You have an adaptive mindset with a strong awareness of emerging trends and best practices in architecture.
