Job summary: Options for Care are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to work at Dartmouth House, one of our mental health inpatient services in Birmingham.
We have two further hospitals and a recovery home: Montague Court, Dartmouth House, Stanford Court, and Orchard House.
We are looking for a dynamic OT with a passion for working with people who have severe and enduring mental health diagnoses. The MOHOST is established as the core occupational therapy assessment tool, providing evidence of change and focus on occupation.
Main duties of the job
* Plan and deliver a range of occupational therapy assessments and interventions promoting recovery and well-being for service-users with severe and enduring mental health needs.
* Coordinate and lead on provision of the therapeutic programme, including running both group and individual sessions.
* Work as an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of the Head of Therapies, ensuring the occupational needs of the service-users are considered and addressed.
* Assist in running the Occupational Therapy team, providing management supervision to OTAs.
* Understand and implement the mission, vision and values of the organisation.

Experience
Essential: Post registration experience working in inpatient rehabilitation and recovery settings, experience of MOHOST as an assessment tool, sound theoretical knowledge of Occupational Therapy and use of evidence-based practice.

Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, MSc Occupational Therapy or a Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
