Commercial ManagerSalary: £95,000 - £100,000Location: NewportSector: Data Centres | Mission-Critical ConstructionType: Permanent | Site-BasedA well-established international contractor delivering some of the UKs most advanced data centre developments is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on major live projects.This is a senior role with full responsibility for commercial performance, subcontract strategy, and financial governance on high-value, technically complex schemes.As Commercial Manager, you will take full ownership of the project commercial lifecycle, working closely with project leadership to drive performance, manage risk, and protect margin.
Key Responsibilities
* Full commercial management of a data centre project
* Lead cost reporting, forecasting, and financial control
* Manage subcontract procurement, negotiations, and final accounts
* Oversee variations, change control, and contractual compliance
* Provide commercial input to project strategy and decision-making
* Mentor and manage QS and Assistant QS team members
* Interface with senior internal stakeholders and clients
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS
* Strong background in data centres, MEP, or complex construction projects
* Excellent contractual and commercial knowledge
* Confident leader with strong stakeholder management skills
