Role Overview
An exciting opportunity at an Ofsted-rated “Good” College in Warwickshire offering a full-time, permanent Instructor Technician in Electrical Installation. Join a highly regarded further education environment where hands-on expertise shapes future professionals.
This role is practical and workshop based and does not involve teaching or assessing on electrical installation theory.
Salary & Hours
Salary: £29,380 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, full-time Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced technical assistance in electrical installation and maintain the smooth running of the workshop
Monitor and assess student competence during practical sessions, delivering constructive feedback
Prepare equipment, materials, and resources for practical learning tasks
Ensure tools and workshop resources are well maintained and in safe, working order
Promote health & safety awareness, embedding best practices within practical sessions
Collaborate with teaching staff and support curriculum delivery and external engagement
Instructor technicians are not expected to teach theory, write schemes of work or assess knowledge.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
BS7671, 18th Edition certification (2018)
Relevant industry-level experience in electrical installation and maintenance
A teaching qualification or a willingness to work toward one as part of the role
