About the role:
As an Food Safety and Quality Champion, your purpose will be to be the site champion for food safety and quality Nandos' manufacturing. To maintain certification and accreditation with all relevant licensing bodies and retailers to ensure continuity of supply by supporting the Technical Manager on site audits and through a process of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities will include:
* To Assess each pallet of product as it is being produced to ensure it meets the requirements of the agreed quality attributes and to ensure these checks are fully documented
* Ensureproduct meets the food safety requirements in line with legislation and food policy requirements.
* To complete additional quality inspections as required or directed by your line manager.
* Report and escalate food safety and quality issues to the relevant manager and the sites technical function.
* To help educate operational colleagues relating to quality expectations.
* Play an integral role in audits by external bodies and customers e.g., BRC, Red Tractor, retailer.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 05.30 to 14.30 OR Monday to Friday 14:30-23:30
What you’ll need to be successful:
* Self-motivated
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels
* Able to work in a small team
* Attention to detail.
* Logical systematic approach
Desirable
* Intermediate HACCP Level 2 / Level 3
* Intermediate Food Safety Level 2 / Level 3
* Knowledge and experience of major retailers
* Problem solving techniques
