Group Business Manager
Location: UK offices (London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh)

We’re looking for a Group Business Manager to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting senior leadership to drive business performance and strategic growth.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with Partners and the Director of Finance & Operations, providing insight, leadership and direction across financial management, planning and operational delivery.

You will:
1. Partner directly with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
2. Play a central role in financial planning and business strategy
3. Lead on high-profile initiatives including partner hiring and investment decisions

What you’ll be doing
Financial insight & performance
5. Lead month-end reporting, providing clear, insightful commentary to leadership
6. Deliver financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
7. Oversee key metrics including performance trends, utilisation and KPIs
8. Support pricing on bids, tenders and client proposals
Business planning & strategy
9. Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning cycles
10. Provide insight to support growth strategies and business initiatives
11. Support decisions on lateral hires and promotions through robust financial modelling
12. Work closely with HR and leadership on resource and headcount planning
Operational leadership
13. Support partner recruitment processes, including building business cases and engaging with candidates
14. Ensure effective financial and operational processes are in place
15. Collaborate with revenue and credit control teams to optimise working capital
Driving improvement & change
16. Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
17. Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and business transformation projects
18. Help evolve business practices to adapt to changing market demands
Collaboration & stakeholder engagement
19. Build trusted relationships with Partners and senior stakeholders
20. Work across teams, offices and regions to share best practice
21. Deputise for senior leadership where required
Team development
22. Line manage and support the development of a Finance Business Analyst
23. Share knowledge and contribute to the wider team’s development
What we’re looking for
We’re interested in individuals who bring a strong blend of commercial awareness, analytical thinking and relationship-building skills.
You’ll likely have:
24. Experience in a finance or business partnering role (ideally within professional services)
25. A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
26. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear insight
27. Confidence engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders
28. Excellent communication and presentation skills
29. A proactive, solutions-focused approach
