Band: 3Q, circa £33,300 per annum plus on call, plus benefits
Full/Part Time: Full Time - All roles are available for flexible working including job sharing and part-time unless operational reasons prevent this.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced End User Device (EUD) Field Engineer responsible for resolving incidents related to IT hardware issued to end users, such as laptops, mobile phones, desktops, monitors, and Body Worn Videos.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional customer service by providing quick and effective solutions within Service Level and Experience Level Agreements.
* Troubleshoot hardware-related issues proactively and identify trends to investigate and resolve recurring problems.
* Triaging broken devices and working with third-party suppliers to log detailed incidents for resolution.
* Build and prepare laptops and desktops for deployment, manage devices through InTune, and maintain asset management records.
* Support ICT teams and engage with business partners to ensure delivery aligns with expectations.
* Assist with large-scale IT equipment movement, including packaging, transportation, and installation, including infrastructure patching.
Additional Requirements
* Based at Portsmouth Police Investigation Centre, with travel across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, and potentially Thames Valley Police.
* Participate in out-of-hours on-call duties.
* Must have the capability to travel to different locations and work flexibly, including unsocial hours, with a full UK driving licence essential.
* Residency in the UK for the last 5 years is required.
