Software Engineer (Node.js) Job Description: We are currently seeking a Software Engineer (Node.js) to take responsibility for building, enhancing, and maintaining products or systems that support Sage's business plans and long-term objectives, using the identified architecture. As a Software Engineer at Sage, you will collaborate with various disciplines and teams, both within and outside the Product Business Unit, to ensure consistency, quality, and successful project delivery. - Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Newcastle office. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software while contributing to peer reviews and overall code quality. - Resolve defects and bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches. - Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle and collaborate across various Sage teams and product lines to drive impactful results. - Maintain clear documentation and continuously improve existing products, systems, and services. Requirements - Background in software engineering, preferably with a focus on backend development. - Proficiency in Node.js and React; some exposure to .NET is a plus. - Experience with AWS or Azure. - Proven experience with Agile development, including SCRUM and/or Extreme Programming. - Skilled in API development and integration.
