About The Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of tenants and residents? We have an opportunity for a proactive and experienced Lead Officer (Housing Management & Coordination) to play a vital role in supporting tenancy sustainment, managing complex housing cases, and leading a dedicated housing management team. This role involves representing the Council in tenancy enforcement proceedings and working closely with Housing Officers and Coordinators across General Needs and Independent Living schemes. You’ll conduct in-depth tenancy reviews, provide expert advice and guidance, and ensure that legal and community-based solutions are effectively balanced. You’ll lead the team through individual case supervision, final reviews of high-risk cases, and support the implementation of new practices, strategies, policies and procedures. You’ll also manage high-risk anti-social behaviour cases, coordinate multi-agency support, and ensure housing services remain responsive, resident-focused, and aligned with local priorities and national legislation.
Qualifications
You’ll have extensive specialist knowledge around all aspects of Housing Management and Housing Coordination and experience and understanding of the legislation that underpins it. You must have the ability to work with others in a fair and assertive manner using excellent communication skills with a solution-focused outlook. You must have expert technical knowledge of delivering Housing Management and tenancy coordination with excellent communication skills, enforcement experience and a commitment to providing a first-class service to our customers.
