Senior Health Care Assistant
24 Hours per Week
Are you an experienced, compassionate care professional looking for a challenging, varied and truly rewarding role?
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Health Care Assistant to join our warm and supportive residential care team, working alongside like-minded colleagues and the Registered Manager to deliver exceptional care for people over 60.
This is a key role within the home, where you will be actively involved in all aspects of residents' daily lives — from meaningful conversations over a cup of tea to supporting complex health needs and end-of-life care. Your experience will be valued, and we are committed to supporting your continued training and professional development.
About the Role
Working 24 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime, you will work day and afternoon shifts between 8am and 9pm, across 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You will be given set shifts on a rolling rota.
This role offers genuine variety — from quieter periods focused on companionship and wellbeing, to busier and more demanding times requiring leadership, calm decision-making and professional judgement.
Occasionally, you will take the lead on shifts, supporting and guiding colleagues while helping to build a positive, supportive workplace where both staff and residents thrive.
