We are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher with QTS to join a specialist post-16 setting in Yeovil. This full-time role is available for September 2026, with the potential to start sooner. Interviews will be taking place over the coming weeks. Set within an extensive rural environment, this provision supports young people aged 16 to 18 with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and a range of complex behavioural and emotional needs. The setting is highly regarded for its structured, supportive approach and strong focus on preparing learners for independence and adulthood.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Support learners to achieve outcomes linked to their Education, Health and Care Plans
Create a structured and positive learning environment
Manage behaviour effectively using supportive strategies
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Skills and Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Energetic, proactive and creative teaching approach
Patience and understanding of diverse learning abilities
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience with SEN or autism is highly desirable
