In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how DAZN Football shows up on social — leading execution, guiding strategy, and ensuring best‑in‑class coverage across matchdays, tentpole events, and daily storytelling.
The Role: Senior Social Manager – DAZN Football
As a Senior Social Manager – DAZN Football, you will be responsible for leading the day‑to‑day execution and optimisation of DAZN Football’s social output, while supporting the broader strategic direction set by the Head of Social.
You will work across DAZN Football social handles, ensuring content is planned, executed, and delivered to a high standard across platforms. This includes managing matchday coverage, supporting team coordination, and driving consistency in editorial tone and output.
This role sits within the Social team and acts as a key bridge between strategy and execution — helping translate high‑level direction into effective day‑to‑day programming and content delivery.
While primarily focused on leadership and execution, you will also be expected to step in hands‑on during major moments, contributing to posting, editing, and real‑time decision‑making when needed.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Lead the day‑to‑day execution of DAZN Football social content across key platforms.
* Support the implementation of the Football social strategy in line with direction from the Head of Social.
* Coordinate matchday and tournament coverage, ensuring efficient execution across the team.
* Help manage and guide Social Content Creators, ensuring clarity on priorities and output.
* Oversee programming and publishing across DAZN Football social handles.
* Act as a key editorial voice during live events, supporting real‑time decision‑making.
* Step in to create, edit, or publish content during major football moments when required.
* Collaborate with Creative, Editorial, Production, and Marketing teams to align output.
* Track performance and use insights to optimise content formats and execution.
* Ensure consistency in tone, quality and brand standards across all Football content.
What You'll Bring:
* Strong experience managing social media within football or sports media environments.
* Deep editorial knowledge of football, including leagues, competitions and fan culture.
* Experience coordinating live sports coverage and matchday execution.
* Ability to manage workflows and support team coordination under pressure.
* Strong understanding of social programming and platform‑specific content strategies.
* Confidence contributing to content creation and live publishing when needed.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
