Job Title: Senior Engineer - Aviation
Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: UK Wide (hybrid role)
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security, and aerospace companies as a Senior Engineer - Aviation. The role requires travel to Glasgow approximately every 6 weeks and offers flexible, hybrid working arrangements throughout the UK.
This company is at the forefront of technology, creating over 100 new inventions annually for customers in more than 100 countries. As a Senior Engineer, you will work independently and remotely, with opportunities to travel to Canada for project work. You will be involved in developing a new class of ship and aircraft.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Produce layout drawings for aviation compartments for stakeholder review and accurate modeling in Stage 2.
2. Update Windchill PLM with mature parts, systems, occurrences, and compartment data to reflect the baseline design.
3. Support HAZIDs and safety reviews.
4. Assist in design and zonal reviews.
5. Contribute to the development of the Aviation OPSTAT.
6. Mature aviation design documentation in line with contractual obligations.

About You:
Experience in aviation design integration (including, but not limited to):
* Aircraft Handling Systems.
* Design or modification of aviation services and compartments.
* Development of aviation safety cases and contractual documents.
* Ship aviation design experience is desirable.
* Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or FORAN is desirable.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering or related STEM field.
* Recognition as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer through a professional institution.
* Support and encouragement to achieve relevant professional accreditation.
You must be eligible for SC clearance, hold a British passport, and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.
