The Role As a Quality Technician, you will play an important role in supporting our Quality Engineering team, helping to ensure the business consistently meets customer, legislative and ISO requirements, while driving a culture of continuous improvement across both our cartridge and housing production operations. This is a hands‑on role, based predominantly on the shop floor, where attention to detail, a strong engineering mindset and collaborative working are key. You will act as a point of contact for quality issues and work closely with a wide range of internal teams to support quality standards across the business. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities for this role include: Shop Floor Quality Support - Act as the point of contact for quality‑related issues on the shop floor for both cartridge and housing production. Calibration & Inspection - Maintain calibrated equipment, liaising with external calibration providers and carrying out internal calibration activities. Production & Quality Meetings - Attend shop floor production and departmental quality meetings, providing quality input and support. Non‑Conformance Management - Raise, manage and maintain Non‑Conformance Notifications (NCNs) relating to internal, supplier and sub‑contract issues. Customer Complaints & Corrective Actions - Assist with the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, including corrective actions and feedback to production teams. Continuous Improvement - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality‑focused projects across the business. Documentation & Standards - Assist with the creation and maintenance of Quality Plans, work instructions, visual aids and controlled documentation to ensure compliance with ISO standards. Supplier Quality Support - Assist with supplier quality management activities and quality reviews. Inspection Support - Support NDT and post‑fabrication inspection activities where required. Compliance & Training - Ensure adherence to health & safety requirements, ISO standards and complete all mandatory Amazon Learn training. General Support - Undertake additional duties as required to support the Quality Manager and Senior Quality Engineer. About You We are looking for someone who is practical, detail‑driven and quality‑focused, with the confidence to work on the shop floor and liaise with colleagues across the business.
