Position: Applications Engineer
Location: Sheffield/ Nottinghamshire
Salary: £50k - £55k + bonus + car

The Role
* You will work with some of the UK's best engineering businesses, delivering excellence to enhance their operation and drive engineering credibility throughout the business and their customers.
* Through exceptional precision engineering insight, you will showcase their capability, and alongside the business development team, you will play a crucial part in their operation.
* As an Applications Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting their largest customers through the delivery of CNC manufacturing projects.
* You will provide on-site technical support, delivering full turn-key projects (CAM Programming), guiding customers on methods of manufacture, advising customers of the right cutting tool for the right job, and everything in between.
Requirements
* Broad understanding of engineering disciplines (Aerospace ESSENTIAL)
* Extensive CAD / CAM Experience (Siemens NX) - ESSENTIAL
* Recent experiences of proving out / running of CNC Machines
* Ability to understand and edit NC code
* Good knowledge of cutting tools and associated brands
* Be competent in running cutting tool trials on-site
* Commercial mindset with the intent of driving profit growth
* Great communication skills
* Strong planning and organisational skills, keeping CRM systems updated
* Autonomy of role using a high degree of intensity and professionalism, to get the task completed and keep all relevant parties up to date
