Role Overview
We are seeking a Professor (Lecturer) to teach across undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Due to our delivery model, flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends is required.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver management‑related modules, develop comprehensive course materials, handle learning, teaching, and assessment, and stay updated on developments in your field and student support practices.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
* Develop, update, and improve course materials.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and administrative duties.
* Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field and student support practices.
* Work towards clear objectives for student attendance, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
About You
* Master’s degree in a relevant subject (PhD desirable).
* Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Proficiency in accurate reporting and maintaining thorough student records.
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or a commitment to enrol on a programme during the probationary period and complete within three years, or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* Experience in the design/development of academic or professional education programmes.
