Job Title: Site Engineer – Earthworks & Highways
Location: Burnley
Duration: 18 Months
Rate: £300 - £400 per day (CIS or LTD)

Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and groundworks packages nationwide. They are currently seeking a highly competent Site Engineer to support a significant earthworks and highways scheme in Burnley.
Role Overview:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in managing technical elements of the project. You’ll ensure setting out, QA, and site coordination are completed to the highest standards across a wide-ranging scope of civil works.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurate setting out for highways, drainage, utilities, and bulk earthworks
*
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
*
Quality assurance and compiling as-built records
*
Coordination of subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme
*
Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
*
Communicating effectively with the site team, project managers, and stakeholders
Requirements:
*
Previous experience on large-scale civil engineering projects (earthworks/highways essential)
*
Proficiency in surveying equipment (Trimble/Leica/GPS)
*
CSCS Card (essential)
*
SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred but not essential)
*
Ability to manage workloads and maintain quality under pressure
*
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Package:
*
Excellent day rates: £300 - £400 depending on experience
