KS2 Interventions Teaching Assistant – North Tyneside
Full-time, long-term | Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–3:30 PM
Are you confident in delivering interventions to help KS2 pupils make measurable progress? We’re seeking a proactive and enthusiastic TA to join a supportive North Tyneside primary school. This role focuses on providing targeted support to pupils, helping them achieve their learning goals and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions across KS2, including literacy, numeracy, and SEND support
2. Follow structured intervention programs and adapt resources to meet individual pupil needs
3. Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers to inform future learning
4. Encourage independence, resilience, and self-belief in pupils
5. Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment
6. Assist with classroom preparation and support learning when not delivering interventions
What We’re Looking For:
7. Experience supporting KS2 or primary-aged children, ideally with SEND
8. Confidence delivering targeted interventions and tracking pupil progress
9. A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach
10. Strong teamwork and communication skills
11. Commitment to helping pupils achieve their potential
