Senior Quantity Surveyor
£65K – £80K (Perm) | £500 – £600 per day (Inside IR35, DOE)
Manchester | Hybrid Working
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major aviation programme based in Manchester. Our client is open to candidates on either a permanent basis or contract inside IR35.
The programme includes multiple work packages across civils, construction, fit-out and MEP, offering exposure to a complex, high-profile infrastructure environment.
Working under the NEC4 form of contract, you will provide commercial leadership and strategic advice to the Construction Manager, while maintaining a high-level commercial overview for the End Client. This will include assessing and managing change, contract administration, supply chain management, and identifying and mitigating key commercial risks.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of commercial management, including monthly applications for payment, valuations, compensation events, and Estimates at Completion (EACs).
A key part of this role will be the ability to support, advise and collaborate with key stakeholders across the programme, ensuring clear and effective commercial communication to senior leadership and the end client.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
* Strong working knowledge and experience of NEC4 contracts
* Experience within UK infrastructure / construction sectors (aviation desirable)
* Proven stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and manage risk
* Excellent technical writing and client-facing skills
* Well-organised, proactive, diligent and assertive
