Description
The post-holder provides support in the operational management, leadership and development of the security and stewarding services at the venue.
Acting in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements at the venue to enable all activities and events to take place in a safe, secure, and controlled environment. Key to the success of this post is the ability to focus on the security, safety and welfare of those attending, delivered with a clear customer focus.
The post-holder will report to the Security Operation’s Manager and will support the delivery of Silverstone events as well as the protection of the site and its assets. This role will ensure the team enables the business to deliver security services, including effective response and management of incidents
Silverstone is a busy leisure venue operating 24/7/365. This role will be overseeing the operational security teams but will also be expected to support security team managers in representing security at meetings and supporting with development of the security team.
This is a full-time role with working hours to fit the demands of the business which will, require weekends and evening working. The expectation is that the post-holder will be required to work in order to fulfil the needs of the events-based business.

Key Responsibilities
* Working closely with the Security Operation’s Manager to deliver the management, leadership and development of the security services at the venue (with an emphasis on the delivery of 24/7 venue security services).
* Leading a team of both full and part time security officers, ensuring high standards of security and customer service.
* Improving standards and working practices across the team.
* Working closely with the Security Managers to plan, secure and implement sufficient security and steward resources to run events safely.
* Support managers in event delivery relevant to the provision of security and stewarding services throughout the venue.
* Maintaining relationships and correspondence with relevant stakeholders.
* Implementation of relevant security measures to mitigate threats at events.
* Preparation, briefing and deployment of resources effectively at both public and corporate events.
* Monitoring and maintaining a secure perimeter to the venue.
* Deliver security and stewarding services to Silverstone core values.
Team Responsibilities
* Promote at all times the professional image of the company by ensuring high standards of both professionalism and personal presentation.
* Participate in staff training as required.
* Comply with company policies and health and safety requirements at all times, encouraging an awareness of health and safety requirements.
Any additional responsibilities as reasonably required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience of successfully managing and supervising a 24/7? team.
* Attention to detail, handling multiple tasks and working to deadlines.
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the willingness to learn new systems and administration procedures.
* Excellent communication skills (written, presentation and spoken). The post-holder will be required to effectively brief and communicate at all levels.
* Ability to operate and supervise in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.
* Displays flexibility and adaptability to develop improvements to existing systems and processes to achieve greater output and efficiencies.
* Professional presentation reflecting the Silverstone values of authenticity, adaptability, inclusivity and ownership
* Able to manage relationships with variety of stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable:
* Previous experience in supervision of Security Teams.
* SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licence (or prepared to work toward).
* Hold full UK manual driving licence.
