Join Our Well-Equipped Hospital Practice as a Small Animal Vet
Are you looking for an ideal job in a hospital setting with a supportive, experienced team and a leadership that listens to you as an individual? We want to start listening to you from the first meeting! We will build a rota that ensures a good work-life balance and allows you to enjoy living in a beautiful area, such as a National Park or coastal location. Our practice emphasizes teamwork, and we invite you to meet the team for a chat.
We are seeking two new Small Animal vets to join our team. One position is suited for a candidate with experience in advanced surgical and diagnostic procedures and a desire for career development. If you prefer to be part of a skilled, experienced team in a dynamic practice that offers plenty of support, that’s perfectly fine too!
The Small Animal team comprises 19 vets, 21 RVNs, and 3 SVNs, including several certificate and diploma holders and those studying for certificates.
Our hospital is well-equipped with ultrasound, radiography, dentistry, endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, ICU equipment, and an internal laboratory managed by dedicated technicians. We also provide an ophthalmology referral service across the South of England and host weekly visits from a Cert AVP (GSAS) for advanced orthopedics.
What do we want from you?
We seek candidates who bring new ideas and experiences, contributing positively to our energetic team. You should be willing to participate in case discussions, clinical meetings, and help deliver a progressive veterinary service. Our hybrid OOHs team covers most night shifts, with contribution expectations that are manageable and negotiable.
What can we offer you?
We provide excellent support, clinical freedom, and top-tier equipment to help you succeed professionally. Enjoy living in an area of outstanding natural beauty with excellent recreational opportunities such as equestrian activities, cycling, sailing, walking, beaches, ancient woodlands, and wildlife.
* Salary up to £83,000 per annum (DOE and OOHs contribution).
* Generous CPD support, including certificates and advanced practitioner status.
* 6 weeks holiday (including Bank Holidays).
* An extra day’s leave each year for the first five years.
* Holiday buying scheme allowing up to 2 additional weeks per year.
