An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, reputable Social Housing Contractor as a Buyer, with future opportunity to develop into a Procurement Manager position as the business continues to grow.
The company specialises in the delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation projects and has a strong client base consisting of Housing Providers and Local Authorities, as well as working on a number of framework schemes.
Due to continued growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit a Buyer to join them on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for:
* Managing procurement of materials and sub‑contractors for social housing refurbishment projects
* Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to achieve best value
* Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
* Ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines
* Monitoring costs and supporting budget control
* Working closely with project teams to understand procurement needs
* Maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Buyer or procurement role within construction
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
The salary is between £40-50k depending on experience.
