Offer description

As an SME Account Handler, you will play a key part in delivering excellent service to our SME clients. You’ll manage a high volume of policies across a wide range of package and commercial combined products, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance at every step.


You’ll build strong client relationships, work closely with insurer partners, and collaborate with colleagues across our SME hubs to deliver consistent, high-quality service.


About Us


At Clear Group, our SME team spans multiple hubs across Maidstone, Leicester, Amersham and Doncaster, combining specialist expertise with local knowledge to deliver exceptional service to small and medium-sized businesses.


Our Maidstone office is a well-established division within Clear Insurance Management, known for its friendly, supportive and engaging environment. Working alongside our Commercial and Construction divisions, you’ll be part of a collaborative team where every day brings variety and new challenges.


Our clients range from one-person start-ups to multi-site organisations, making this role both dynamic and highly rewarding.


What You’ll Be Doing


* Acting as a friendly and professional point of contact for SME clients.
* Handling renewals, adjustments and general enquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
* Processing policies across package and commercial combined products using insurer platforms.
* Building strong relationships with insurer partners to secure competitive terms.
* Ensuring client records and documentation are accurate and compliant.
* Working closely with your team and sharing knowledge across our SME hubs.


What We’re Looking For


* Experience in Personal Lines, SME, or junior commercial insurance.
* A good understanding of SME or package/commercial combined products.
* Confident using insurer e-trade platforms and client management systems.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload.
* A positive, client-focused approach with great communication skills.
* Organised, proactive, and eager to learn and develop.
* A team player who contributes to a supportive, collaborative environment.
* Acturis experience or progress toward Cert CII is a bonus, not a requirement.
