The role is full-time on a permanent basis and we will consider flexible working if requested. We are flexible with regards to the location of this role, but you may need to travel to various locations across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland as and when needed.


About the Role

As our Content Strategy Manager, you’ll lead the development and execution of a holistic content strategy that puts user experience at the heart of everything we do. You’ll oversee content delivery across platforms–primarily via our intranet, My Mencap–and play a key role in evolving content across our systems to meet the needs of our people.

You’ll:

* Be the go-to expert for engaging, user-focused content
* Lead strategic content planning and delivery across Mencap
* Collaborate with stakeholders to design and maintain exceptional content experiences
* Train and support content creators and editor.
* Use data and insights to drive continuous improvement
* Explore and integrate new technologies (including AI) to enhance content creation and discovery


About You

You’re a big-picture thinker with a sharp eye for detail. You bring:

* A user-first mindset and strong design-thinking skills
* Experience managing content in complex organisations
* Impact-led, evidence-based ways of working
* Highly effective communication skills, integrity and professionalism

First stage interviews will be on 20 April. This will be held on Microsoft Teams, where you’ll be asked to do a presentation and answer skills-based questions. Successful candidates will be invited to a second interview with our Learning Disability panel on 23 April.
